With the August 9th Osun governorship election coming
soon, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are trying to
gather all their top stakeholders in the region to help carry
the momentum from Ekiti election to Osun.
Fayose
PDP had taken Ekiti from APC in the the recently held
gubernatorial election, where Ayo Fayose came out
victorious over the current governor Kayode Fayemi.
However Fayose is not sure his Party's candidate Iyiola
Omisore, can repeat the dance and get PDP the ticket.
In a recent interview with Progress 100.5FM in Ekiti, Fayose
reportedly said: "I can't see Omisore winning the poll. I
don't think he can win but I wish him good luck."
With this recent statement, critics have now interpreted it as
a cold war between Fayose and the PDP caniddate,
Omisore.
PDP's Iyiola Omisore is running against the Osun state
governor, Rauf Aregbesola and needs all the help his party
can provide him.
Meanwhile Fayose has been on a victory lap tour between
major states in the west but has avoided going to Osun to
help and trump up local support for his party's flag bearer.
