Borno Town Jubilates As 7 Notorious Boko Haram Members Arrested

Seven members of the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram were arrested Monday, September 15, 2014 in Shaffa, Borno State. According to reports, residents heaved a sigh of relief as the terrorists who were notorious in the town which is located in Hawul Local Government area were arrested following a tip-off.
Shaffa is about 4 kilometres drive from Azare, the headquarters of Hawul, which is south and 200 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital.
Mallam Zakariya Shizhawu a prominent resident of Shaffa told newsmen on the phone following the arrest that the suspected had been terrorising the Shaffa and neighbouring town.
He said, “Thank God seven Boko Haram suspected operatives who have been terrorising our community were arrested yesterday (Monday) by security agents following a tip off.”
Since the arrest yesterday normalcy has reportedly returned to Shaffa and people are going about their duties.
